Q1: What is a “Go-Through” or “Striking” screwdriver?
A: A go-through screwdriver features a solid metal shank that runs completely through the handle to a steel cap at the end. This design allows you to strike the cap with a hammer to transfer shock directly to the screw head, breaking rust bonds without shattering the plastic handle.
Q2: How does the Hex Bolster work?
A: The hex bolster is a 6-sided metal fitting near the top of the shank. If a screw is too tight to turn by hand, you can attach an open-end or combination wrench to the bolster for extra torque leverage.
